Description:
Go out into the great outdoors and become a nature detective. Learn how to identify animal tracks, find out about their habitat and where they go. It may be hard to spot the animals, but you can find out a lot about the animals that live by the San Diego River from the clues they left behind. This free adventure starts by learning about our local animals that call the river home. Then, you will try your hand at tracking your favorite animal, creating your own paw print, and restoring the habitat with scat you created. Ok, it isn’t real scat. You’ll get the opportunity to make a replica of animal scat using clay, local seeds and soil. Once finished you will scatter the seeds to restore the plant life around the river bank.
