Description: <p>Celebrate UC San Diego&rsquo;s 60th anniversary with an Evenings of Nonconventional Wisdom virtual event series highlighting ongoing contributions to the most pressing issues of our time and featuring interactive presentations by the leading-edge UC San Diego community. The event will feature a discussion of negative public perceptions of vaccines, their historical drivers, and how we can address past injustices and build confidence in this important health care technology as our nation and the world embark on a vaccination campaign that is critical to combatting the COVID-19 pandemic. Event panelists include: &bull; Keolu Fox, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Anthropology &bull; Danielle Raudenbush, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology &bull; Dr. Victor Nizet, Professor, UC San Diego School of Medicine and Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences &bull; Dr. David &ldquo;Davey&rdquo; Smith, Head of Infectious Diseases and Global Public Health.</p>
