Description: <p>Do you have a love for writing poetry, but feel like your words are meant to live beyond the page? We are going to explore variations in Spoken Word and Performance Poetry while developing your unique style and voice. Each day will focus on: A new Spoken Word performance by leading voices in the poetry community Unpack favorite lines from student-selected poems Use generative writing prompts (7 Minute Poem) to get in a creative mindset Talk about the differences between Spoken Word and SLAM Poetry Take a look at resources available to facilitate your own Spoken Word performance This class is designed for our Young Ink Summer Camp for students ages 14-17 years old. You will be emailed the Zoom link 24 hours before the start of class.
