Description: <p>Celebrate Women’s History Month with an exhibition by two women photographers: Karen Hymer AGE & SEDUCTION and Jenny Sampson SKATER GIRLS. These artists work with historical photographic processes to celebrate women in two unique ways. New Mexico artist Karen Hymer uses the Gravure process to create self portraits which explore beauty and aging. San Francisco artist Jenny Sampson works with wet-plate tintype portraits of girl skateboarders. Both of these 19th century processes are enjoying a resurgence today. The content, intent and warmth of Hymer and Sampson’s artworks connect them in this exhibition of and about women. Both artists will participate in an Artist talk followed by a reception March 19. Exhibit on display through April 23.</p>
