Description: <p>In this class, Rebecca Chamaa discusses the pros and cons of writing about our mental health or the mental health of a family member or friend. She will also briefly touch upon good practices for writing a character with a mental illness. There will be discussions about current trends, how to be sensitive, how to create complexity instead of stereotypes, and some possible places to publish these themes. The class will also have several writing exercises. You will be emailed the Zoom link 24 hours before the start of class.
